FAIS UN KILOMÈTRE DE PLUS.
DE DIEU À TOI
TU ES MON PLUS GRAND MIRACLE. TU ES LE PLUS GRAND MIRACLE DU MONDE.
Lorsque tu es né, ce sont-là les premiers mots que tu as entendus.
Puis tu as pleuré. Ils en pleurent tous.
Tu ne m'as pas cru alors...
Et rien n'est survenu par la suite pour mettre fin à ton incrédulité.
Car, comment pourrais-tu être un miracle alors que tu te considères un échec,
même dans les tâches les plus simples ?
Comment peux-tu être un miracle, alors que tu as si peu confiance en toi
quand il s'agit de prendre la plus faible des responsabilités ?
Comment peux-tu être un miracle alors que les dettes t'accablent,
que le tourment te tient éveillé et que tu te demandes d'où viendra le pain de demain ?
Cela suffit.
Pourtant, combien de prophètes, de sages, de poètes, d'artistes, de compositeurs, de savants, combien de philosophes
et de messagers t'ai-je envoyé porteurs de ton potentiel divin et des secrets de la réussite ?
Comment les as-tu traités ?
Mais je t'aime et je suis maintenant avec toi à travers ces mots pour réaliser la prédiction du prophète
qui a annoncé que Dieu tendrait la main encore une fois, pour aider son peuple.
Je te tends la main une fois de plus.
Il t'a été donné le secret de déplacer des montagnes et de réaliser l'impossible.
Tu n'as cru personne.
Tu as brûlé ta carte routière menant au bonheur, tu as abandonné ton droit à la paix intérieure,
tu as soufflé sur les bougies qui étaient placées le long de ta destinée
et qui devaient te mener à la gloire.
Tu as trébuché, perdu et effrayé, dans l'obscurité de la futilité et de la pitié,
jusqu'à ce que tu tombes dans l'enfer de ta propre création.
Tu as alors pleuré et tu as frappé ta poitrine en maudissant le sort qui t'accablait.
Tu as refusé d'accepter les conséquences de tes propres pensées négatives, de tes basses actions.
Tu as cherché un bouc émissaire responsable de tes échecs.
Et vite, tu l'as trouvé !
Tu m'as blâmé!
N'es-tu pas perplexe ?
Ne te demandes-tu pas pourquoi je peux te pardonner
tes échecs, tes fautes, ton comportement...
alors que tu es incapable de te pardonner, toi ?
Jamais, parmi les milliards d'individus qui ont foulé le sol de cette planète
depuis le début de tous les temps, il n'y a eu quelqu'un qui te ressemblait exactement.
Jamais, jusqu'à la fin des temps, il n'y aura quelqu'un qui te ressemblera exactement.
Jamais tu n'as montré ta reconnaissance ou ton appréciation de ton individualité.
Et pourtant, tu es la chose la plus rare au monde.
Un trésor sans prix, doté de qualités d'esprit, d'expression, de mouvement, d'aspect et d'actions telles
que personne ayant vécu, vivant ou qui vivra n'aura jamais.
Pourquoi as-tu écouté ceux qui te rabaissaient...
et bien pire encore, pourquoi as-tu cru en eux ?
Suis mon conseil.
Ne cache plus jamais ta rareté dans l'ombre.
Sois en fier.
Montre-la au monde entier.
Efforce-toi de ne pas marcher comme marche ton frère, pas plus que de parler comme parle ton chef,
pas plus que de travailler comme le font les médiocres.
Ne fais jamais comme les autres.
N'imite jamais.
N'imite personne.
Sois toi-même.
Tu n'as aucun handicap. Tu n'es pas un médiocre.
Tu acquiesces. Tu commences à sourire.
Tu admets ton erreur personnelle.
Maintenant je te donne la loi de la réussite, dans tous les domaines.
Il y a plusieurs siècles, cette loi a été donnée à tes aïeux, du haut d'une montagne.
Certains ont observé cette loi et leur vie a été remplie des fruits du bonheur, de la réussite, de l'or et de la paix de l'esprit.
Mais la plupart n'y ont prêté aucune attention, car ils recherchaient des moyens magiques, des routes détournées
ou attendaient le démon appelé chance, qui devait leur livrer les richesses de la vie. Ils ont attendu en vain...
Tout comme toi et puis ils ont pleuré, tout comme toi, m'accusant de leur mauvais sort.
La loi est simple, jeune ou vieux, roi ou mendiant, blanc ou noir, homme ou femme...
Tous peuvent employer ce secret à leur avantage.
Parmi toutes les règles, les discours et les écrits traitant de la réussite et de la façon de l'obtenir,
il n'y a qu'une seule méthode qui n'a jamais échoué...
Quiconque te demandera de faire un kilomètre avec lui...
Fais-en deux.
C’est le secret qui t'apportera les richesses et la gloire
au-delà de tout ce que tu peux imaginer.
FAIS UN KILOMETRE DE PLUS !
Le seul moyen assuré de réussir est de rendre un service meilleur
et plus grand que celui que l'on attend de toi, quelle que soit la tâche.
C'est là une habitude qu'ont prise tous les gens
qui ont réussi depuis le début de tous les temps.
Par conséquent, je te déclare que la meilleure façon de te borner à la médiocrité
c'est d'effectuer uniquement le travail pour lequel tu es payé.
Ne pense pas que l'on t'exploite si tu donnes plus que pour ce dont tu es payé.
Car, chaque vie a son pendule et toute la sueur qui perlera sur ton front,
si on ne te la paye pas aujourd'hui, te reviendra décuplée demain.
Le médiocre ne parcourt jamais un kilomètre de plus
car pourquoi s'exploiter lui-même, pense-t-il.
Mais tu n'es pas médiocre.
Parcourir ce kilomètre supplémentaire,
C'est un privilège que tu dois mériter de ta propre initiative.
Tu ne peux pas et ne dois absolument pas éviter cet effort.
Néglige-le, fais-en seulement aussi peu que les autres
et la responsabilité de ton échec sera entièrement tienne.
Tout en rendant service tu reçois immanquablement la compensation qui s'impose,
en ne le faisant pas, tu dois souffrir de la perte de la récompense.
Cause et effet, moyens et fins, graine et fruit, ne peuvent être séparés.
L'effet est déjà en fleur dans la cause, la fin se trouve dans les moyens
et le fruit est toujours dans la graine.
FAIS UN KILOMÈTRE DE PLUS.
Ne te préoccupe pas de devoir servir un maître ingrat.
Sers-le encore plus.
Et à sa place, laisse-moi être celui qui est en dette avec toi,
car alors tu sauras que chaque minute, chaque service supplémentaire
que tu rendras te sera toujours remboursé.
Et ne t'inquiète pas si la récompense tarde un peu.
Car plus le paiement est retenu, mieux c'est pour toi...
et l'intérêt composé de l'intérêt composé est l'un des bénéfices
les plus avantageux de cette loi.
Tu ne peux exiger la réussite, tu ne peux que la mériter...
et tu connais maintenant le grand secret nécessaire afin d'en obtenir la récompense rare.
FAIS UN KILOMÈTRE DE PLUS !
Où est-il ce champ, où tu pleurais qu'il n'y avait pas d'opportunité ?
Vois, là où hier encore tu te vautrais sur les déchets de la pitié,
tu marches maintenant la tête haute, sur un tapis d'or.
Rien n'a changé... sauf toi, tu es tout.
TU ES MON PLUS GRAND MIRACLE.
Sois patient envers ton progrès.
Pour compter tes bénédictions avec gratitude, pour proclamer ton individualité avec fierté,
pour parcourir un kilomètre de plus et puis un autre,
ces gestes ne peuvent être accomplis en un clin d’œil.
Mais ce que tu acquiers avec le plus de peine,
c'est ce que tu conserves le plus longtemps.
Et n'aie pas peur en commençant ta nouvelle vie.
Toute acquisition noble comporte sa part de risques.
Celui qui a peur de rencontrer l'un ne mérite pas d'obtenir l'autre.
Tu sais maintenant que tu es un miracle.
Et le miracle ne connaît pas la crainte.
Sois confiant.
Tu n'es pas l'esclave de forces que tu ne peux pas comprendre.
Tu es la libre manifestation d'aucune autre force que la mienne,
d'aucun autre amour que le mien.
Tu as été créé dans un but bien précis.
Sens ma main.
Écoute mes paroles.
Tu as besoin de moi... et j'ai besoin de toi.
Nous avons un monde à rebâtir...
et si cela requiert un miracle, qu'est-ce que cela pour nous ?
Tous les deux, nous sommes des miracles et maintenant, nous nous avons l'un l'autre.
Je n'ai jamais perdu la foi en toi depuis ce jour où je t'ai jeté sur une vague géante,
puis déposé impuissant sur le sable du rivage.
Je t'ai donné le pouvoir de penser.
Je t'ai donné le pouvoir d'aimer,
de vouloir, de rire, d'imaginer, de créer, de planifier, de parler.
Je t'ai donné le pouvoir de prier.
L'orgueil que j'ai de toi est illimité.
Tu es ma création ultime, mon plus grand miracle.
Un être vivant complet.
Un être qui peut s'adapter à tous les climats, à toutes les rigueurs, à tous les défis.
Un être qui peut diriger sa propre destinée sans aucune interférence de ma part.
Un être qui peut traduire une sensation ou une perception, non pas par instinct,
mais par la pensée et la délibération de la meilleure action pour lui et pour l'humanité tout entière.
Je t'ai donné... le pouvoir de choisir.
Qu'as-tu fais de cette force extraordinaire?
Regarde-toi.
Pense au choix que tu as fait dans ta vie et souviens-toi maintenant de ces durs moments
où tu te serais jeté à genoux
pour qu'on te laisse l'opportunité de recommencer.
Ce qui est passé est passé...
et maintenant, sers-toi avec sagesse de ton pouvoir de choisir.
Choisis d'aimer... plutôt que de haïr.
Choisis de rire... plutôt que de pleurer.
Choisis de créer... plutôt que de détruire.
Choisis de persévérer... plutôt que de lâcher.
Choisis de louer... plutôt que de critiquer.
Choisis de guérir... plutôt que de blesser.
Choisis de donner... plutôt que de voler.
Choisis d'agir... plutôt que de remettre à demain.
Choisis de t'améliorer... plutôt que de rester sédentaire.
Choisis de prier... plutôt que de maudire.
Choisis de vivre... plutôt que de mourir.
Tu sais maintenant que je ne suis pas responsable de tes malheurs, car je t'ai nanti de tous les pouvoirs;
l'accumulation des actions et des pensées qui t'ont mené sur les déchets de l'humanité vient de toi et non pas de moi.
Tu es plus qu'un être humain, tu es un humain en évolution.
Tu es capable de grandes merveilles, ton potentiel est illimité.
Ne te rabaisse plus jamais !
Ne te contente jamais des miettes de la vie !
Et à partir d'aujourd'hui, ne cache plus jamais tes talents.
Jouis de ce jour aujourd'hui... et de demain, demain.
Tu es ressuscité des morts-vivants.
Tu ne t'apitoieras jamais plus sur toi-même
et chaque jour sera pour toi une joie nouvelle et un nouveau défi.
Tu renais... mais tout comme auparavant,
tu peux choisir l'échec et le désespoir ou la réussite et le bonheur.
Ce choix n'appartient qu'à toi.
Je ne peux qu'observer, comme je le faisais avant... fier... ou triste.

WHICH ROUTE DO YOU TAKE?

Rahul, Rehmat, Ryan and Ranjit were friends. They would play together in the evening. One evening they had a childish argument over the subject of God. Rahul said, “My mummy says that Krishna is the greatest God.” Rehmat said, “That’s foolish, Allah is supreme.” Ranjit countered them all saying, “Guru Nanak is the only true Guru for He alone can guide us and guard us.” Ryan said, “You’re all wrong, Christ is the saviour.”
A lady was watching them argue. She called out to them. She asked, “Do you all study in the same school?” “Yes, all of us are St. Johnians” they replied in unison. “By which road do you reach there?” asked the lady. Rahul said, “I take the road from sector 9 to 8 and then 7. Sector 26 is adjacent to sector 7 and I reach school from there.”
Rehmat said, “I cross over the Madhya Marg from Sector 27 to 26 and then go straight into the school at the further end of sector 26.”
Ranjit said, “I live in sector 2, we take the lake road, then we drive through the dividing road of sector 6 and 7, till I reach the corner of sector 26 and I am there.”
Ryan said, “I live in Pinjore, it’s a long drive through Panchkula, we take the road behind the lake; it takes us about half an hour to reach school.”
The lady smiled, “So, each one of you, reaches the school by different roads. But, the destination is the same. So too God is also one, but we know Him by different names. The paths to reach Him are different. None of them is superior or more correct than the other. Regardless of the path you choose, as long as you get there, the route is of no consequence.” What is your route?
They listened spellbound as she continued, “Let me tell you about myself. My parents named me Preeti when I was a little girl. My children call me ‘Mummy’. All my friends nicknamed me ‘Pretty’. My husband loves to call me ‘Honey’. My nieces and nephews call me ‘Aunt Preeti’. Which name do you think is the most correct one for addressing me? Do you think my nephew should call me ‘Honey’?”
The children listened with curiosity. She smiled and said, “All names are correct. None is wrong. So too it is with the names of the Lord. Krishna, Jesus, Allah, Guru Nanak, Buddha, all are addressed to the Supreme God Almighty, who is one and only one. You can address Him by any name you like.
We in India are unique people because we respect and tolerate the religions of others; just as we respect the mothers of our friends as well as our own mother. This is the essence of Unity in Diversity. This is what makes India a secular state and this is what National Integration is all about!”
Only those who are ignorant of the glory of God, will insist on one name and one form for His adoration; and what is worse; condemn the use by others of other names and forms!
HANDS THAT HELP ARE GREATER THAN LIPS THAT PRAY

Being a small place, most of the people of this little township were involved in some way or the other in the running of the famous Mansa Devi Temple of the Goddess.
A tourist wanted to meet his old lady relative who was sick and ailing. She had told him, “When you get off the bus at Mansa Devi, just ask anyone, where the house of Pandit Shiv Kumar is. He is very famous. Once you get to his house, just climb the stairs from the side access. I live in the flat above his flat. This is a small town and Pandit Shiv Kumar is very famous for he is very learned and he is a great palmist too. You will not face any difficulty in finding the house.”
So the tourist alighted from the bus and asked a bystander, “My friend, can you direct me to the house of the famous Pandit Shiv Kumar?” The man said, “Sorry, I haven’t heard of him.” He asked another person, “Please help me to locate the house of the famous palmist Pandit Shiv Kumar.” This man too shook his head and said, “Don’t know who he is.”
The sun was right overhead and its burning heat added to his helplessness as he asked person after person about the whereabouts of the so called famous Pandit Shiv Kumar.
Eventually he asked a man dressed in a dhoti and wearing a tilak. You seem to be a Brahmin. Do you know where the famous Pandit Shiv Kumar lives?” “Yes, indeed I do. What is the matter?” The visitor heaved a sigh of relief and said, “Please lead me to his house. I have been asking about him for the last two hours, but no one seems to know him.” The Brahmin said, “Alright, I shall take you to his house, but tell me did you really ask a lot of people and they hadn’t heard about him?” “Yes, I did; but no one knew!” said the tourist. “Hmm, why do you want to meet Pandit Shiv Kumar?” asked the Brahmin.
The tourist said, “Ah! Actually I don’t want to meet him. I just have to reach his house. You see my aunt Bhagwanti lives in the flat above his.” One of the bystanders heard this and said, “Oh! So you wanted to meet Bhagwanti, did you? So why didn’t you say so earlier? Everyone here knows her. Hey friends, don’t you know Bhagwanti?”
A couple of people standing around nodded in agreement. The stranger said, “Bhagwanti is the noblest soul in this township. She is always there to help anyone who is in need. Her good nature and helpful disposition is known to all. Unfortunately, she is indisposed since a couple of weeks. Come, I’ll guide you to her house.” The Brahmin interrupted, “No, No, I’ll take this man to her house. Come my friend, come with me.”
A few minutes later the Brahmin stood in front of a double storey flat and pointed towards it. “This is the house of Pandit Shiv Kumar and the one above is Bhagwanti’s.” The tourist said, “Thank you very much.” He looked on in surprise as the Brahmin took out a key and unlocked the door to the flat below. The Brahmin said haltingly, “I am Pandit Shiv Kumar.”
The story tells us that our name and fame relates more to the kind of person we are. If we are able to reach across to people and offer love and compassion, that is more important than being well read or intelligent or holding many degrees.
If you sit back and think about the people who you value most or the people who have touched your life, who would you name?
Cricketers? Politicians? Scientists?
Or your family, friends and teachers?
DRESS MESS

It was lunch time and all the girls lined up to go into the dining hall of the hostel. A delegation of senior nuns was visiting the school. They had been closely inspecting the activities of the girls in the class rooms as well as in the dormitories. Today they were going to have lunch with the girls in the dining hall. The girls had been instructed to be at their best.
Lunch was served. They started eating after saying a joint prayer. The girls spooned the Rajma - Rice into their mouths with gusto. There was curd and potatoes too, but Rajma was a hot favourite amongst these eight year olds and they ate without distraction.
Lenika reached out to the bowl of Rajma to serve herself. In her enthusiasm to pour some curry for herself, she tipped the bowl a little too much and a large quantity of Rajma spilt onto the table and onto her white skirt too. As she felt the heat of the curry on her thighs, she clenched her lips to stop herself from crying out aloud. The girls around her looked at her terrified face and knew that she was in for trouble today. The nuns at the far end of the room had not noticed yet, but they would be here in a few minutes.
They eyed the nuns advancing towards their end of the table as they carried out their inspection. Lenika looked beseechingly at her friends. But no one seemed to know what to do. A second later they saw their teacher Mrs Beni hurrying towards them with a bowl in her hand, saying, “Oh! Girls do you need some more curry? Here take this.” As she neared Lenika, she tripped and the bowl flew from her hands and landed all over the table in front of Lenika and on to her uniform like an ‘action replay’. “Oh! I’m so sorry”, gasped Mrs Beni, “Lenika, are you alright? Get up girlie; let me help you clean up. Girls could you please clean up the mess on the table...”
Mrs Beni marched Lenika away to the dormitory to help her get out of the soiled dress. All through she was heard saying, “Lenika, I’m so sorry. How could I be so clumsy? Oh Lord! What a mess you look!”
Lenika changed into a fresh set of uniform while Mrs Beni washed her skirt. The matter was hushed up in the presence of the senior nuns. Later Mrs Beni was reprimanded for her clumsy and careless behaviour by the Principal.
Eight years later when Lenika was to pass out of school, she said to Mrs Beni, “Ma’am I’ll never forget how you saved me from the wrath of the principal when I was in class III. Thank you so much. I’ll never forget you.” Mrs Beni smiled and said, “You have a great memory girlie. I didn’t think you would even remember!” “I do remember ma’am. I always wondered why the curry that I dropped on myself seemed so hot and the one you dropped on me, wasn’t hot at all.” She said matter-of-factly, “Oh! That Rajma! I poured my glass of water into it!”
That is the extent to which some teachers can go! They can go out of the way to save a student from something that happened accidentally. As in this case Mrs Beni even cooled the curry instantaneously, before ‘tripping’ and dropping everything all over Lenika!
Teachers are like Demi-Gods. They can mould and plaster a child into any shape. It’s a pity that that class of teachers is not to be found easily now!
 Teaching is the noblest of professions; it is also the holiest path for self-realisation.
For it involves the cultivation of selfless love and the showering and sharing of that love. The teacher moulds the rising generation into self-confident, self-reliant, Godconscious persons.
At the heart of Educare is the teacher. Teachers at all levels, are committed to living the values and to nurturing their development in the learner. A teacher teaches through love. It is through love that transformation ultimately takes place.
When the process of Educare is uppermost in a teacher’s mind teaching and learning becomes experiential and joyful.

L’homme doit toujours avancer vers la force ; il ne devrait pas se réfugier dans le mensonge, la méchanceté et la malhonnêteté qui sont les caractéristiques fondamentales de la lâcheté. Cette lâcheté est née de l’acceptation d’une image fausse et inférieure de nous-même. Vous pensez que vous êtes l’enveloppe, la couche extérieure, mais vous êtes en réalité le noyau, le cœur. Cette fausse identification est l’erreur fondamentale. Tout effort spirituel doit être dirigé vers la suppression de l’enveloppe et la révélation du noyau central. Aussi longtemps que vous dites « Je suis Untel », vous êtes obligé d’avoir peur, mais une fois que vous dites et éprouvez « Je suis Brahman », vous obtenez une force invincible.
