 Aimer

The guy in love

FROM SUNRAYS FOR THURSDAY BY PRIYA & SANJAY TANDON

There was once this guy who is very much in love with his girl. This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of paper cranes as a gift to his girl.

Although, at that time he was just a small fry in his company, his future didn't seem too bright, they were very happy together. Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualize any future for the both of them, so they went their own ways there and then...

Heartbroken, the guy agreed. But when he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself.

Finally with all the hard work and the help of friends, this guy had set up his own company ..

You never fail until you stop trying. One rainy day, while this guy was driving, he saw an elderly couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched. It didn't take him long to realize they were his girl's parents.

With a heart in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them to spot him in his luxury sedan. He wanted them to know that he wasn't the same any more; he had his own company, car, condo, etc. He made it! What he saw next confused him, the couple was walking towards a cemetery, and so he got out of his car and followed...and he saw his girl, a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone and he saw his paper cranes right beside her...

Her parents saw him. He asked them why this had happened. They explained, she did not leave for France at all. She was ill with cancer. She had believed that he will make it someday, but she did not want to be his obstacle... therefore she had chosen to leave him.

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

She had wanted her parents to put his paper cranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings him to her again...he can take some of those back with him...

Once you have loved, you will always love.
For what's in your mind may escape but what's in your heart will remain forever.

The guy just wept...The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside her knowing you can't have her, see her or be with her ever again.........hope you understand.

Find time to realize that there is one person who means so much to you,
for you might wake up one morning losing that person who you thought meant nothing to you.

THE BLIND GIRL

FROM SUNRAYS FOR THURSDAY BY PRIYA & SANJAY TANDON

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.'

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?'
The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear; for before they were yours, they were mine.'

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Le gagnant agit;
Le perdant subit.
Le gagnant voit une solution à ses problèmes;
Le gagnant te dit : "Est-ce que je peux t'aider?";
Le gagnant a souvent une idée;
Le perdant a souvent une excuse.
Le gagnant est souvent disponible;

THE KING’S FOREST RESORT

FROM SUNRAYS FOR THURSDAY BY PRIYA & SANJAY TANDON

A king had a holiday resort in the forest. He used to visit there sometimes to relax.

A new caretaker had taken over recently.  He had just got the message that the king would be visiting tomorrow. The caretaker was excited and anxious too. He wanted to please the king and earn his favour. He spent the day cleaning each nook and cranny of dust or dirt. He got up early next day and made the bed for the king. He set up a bowl of fresh fruits that he had handpicked from the king’s orchard. He kept a fire burning all day at the hearth, so that warm water would be available at a moment’s notice. He also prepared the most delicious delicacies that he knew how to cook. His face was radiant with emotions and love was flowing from his heart for his royal master.

At sundown, the caretaker noticed a badly wounded fellow dragging himself forward on the dusty dirt track that led to the forest retreat. He went up to the man and saw that he was bleeding profusely and his clothes were torn. He seemed to be almost at the verge of passing out. He was weak and helpless. The caretaker saw his pitiable state. Somehow he managed to drag him to the forest retreat.

Without a second thought, the caretaker laid the wounded man on the couch and quickly brought the warm water that he had readied for the king. He washed the wounds and cleaned them. He applied a soothing balm over them. He removed the man’s tattered, blood stained clothes and dressed him in clothes from the king’s wardrobe.
He fed him the food that he had prepared for the king. He then carried the exhausted man to the bed, he had so painstakingly prepared for the king. He settled him in the bed and drew the sheets over his chest. Soon the wounded man fell into a deep slumber.

A short while later, there was a knock on the door and the caretaker’s heart missed a beat. He knew that he would have to face the wrath of the king, having taken the liberty to offer the king’s personal amenities to a commoner. As he opened the door he found a man there who said, “I am the king’s minister. The king should be here any minute. Have you prepared the rooms and food for the king’s party?”

The caretaker said, “Sir, I have prepared everything. But I’m afraid; the King shall have to sleep in one of the other rooms. You see a man who was terribly wounded, came here. I bathed and fed him. He is asleep in the king’s bed.” The minister was furious. He said angrily, “How dare you give the king’s bed to another? You insolent fool! You aren’t fit to be in the service of the king. Just wait till the King gets to know; you shall pay dearly for this.”

A feeble voice came from the king’s chamber, “The king already knows!”

The king later narrated that he and four other courtiers had got separated from the others. As they were nearing the retreat, they were attacked by a herd of lions. Two of the courtiers were killed. The other two ran away. The king managed to drag himself away from the scene and somehow managed to get here. The caretaker had looked after him without knowing who he was.
The king said, “This man recognized that it was more important to save the life of a dying man, than to wait for the king. He is a very intelligent and good man. Of what use is wealth and comfort, if not for sharing and caring for those who are in need?”

« Tu as vu ? »

« Oui »

« Allo, maman ? Dis-moi, Pierre m'a demandé pourquoi nous coupons
les deux extrémités des rôtis. Je n'ai pas pu lui expliquer.
Pourquoi le fais-tu ? »

Maman n'a pas pu me l'expliquer... »

“A heart without words is far more precious than words without a heart”

FROM SUNRAYS FOR THURSDAY BY PRIYA & SANJAY TANDON

Most of us have travelled by car or bus on the inter-state roads. The milestones, besides being indicative of the distance to be covered, are also a subject of curiosity for children. Vicky was travelling with his parents to his grandmother home. He was sitting in the back seat. His baby sister slept blissfully beside him in her little carry cot. He felt very important that he was charge of her while Mom sat in the front with Dad. He asked Dad, “How far is it now, Dad?”, “Another eighty miles Sonny.” “Eighty! Oh! That’s a lot”

Vicky rolled down the windows on his side and smiled at the people in the countryside. He smiles every time a car crossed them from the opposite side. He smiled at people who overtook them too. After a while his little sister woke up. He played with her, he shook the rattle for her and they laughed together.

Soon it grew dark; they could barely see the people in the adjacent fields. Vicky asked, “Dad, how much time will we take to get there?” Dad said, just, another ten minutes and we’ll be there. “Vicky looked at the people in the streets as they entered the city. He smiled happily at every one they crossed.

Soon their car pulled into the driveway of grandmother’s house. Vicky said “Oh Dad! I still have one more smile to give, how did we reach before that?”

Dad asked,”You have one more smile to give? What’s that supposed to mean?” Vicky looked at him sombrely and said. “I asked you how far we had to go and you said, “Eighty smiles”; I smiled at every one we crossed on the way. I have smiled at 79 people since then. I still have one smile to go. So how did we reach before that?”

Dad was at a loss for words. He looked at his four year old son, stupefied. ”I said eighty miles son and you heard eighty smiles! No wonder you have been smiling at all and sundry on the way. I did notice, but I never gave it a second thought”. Just then Grandmother opened the door and Vicky smiled his eightieth smile!
They hugged and laughed together.

Well, that was forty years ago! Before Dad passed away, this is the last thing he said to Vicky, “Keep smiling, just as you did when you were four! I learnt this valuable lesson from you my son. Thank you for teaching me how to smile through life.”

Today Vicky is forty-four and he continues to smile at every stranger he crossed by, for he learnt at the tender age of four that smiling can be a pleasant way to spend a journey.

In the course of life, he learnt that it’s also a great way to make friends. As he grew older, he learnt that smiling is contagious; if you smile at another, the other person smiles back at you, more often that not! So by making someone smile, you make this word a happier place.
Incidentally, it is also an inexpensive way to improve your looks!

Do you know what a SMILE is?
It is a Simple Method of Inviting Love Echoes!

Hey! If you are smiling while reading this, then do keep smiling, for who knows,
someone may just be falling in love with your smile!

Si mon enfant me parlait...

Thought for the day

ycoeur17.gif
