Leave aside the norms and rules of society; you can understand this truth from your day-to-day experience. Consider, for example, you are eating a fruit. If it is sweet, you will eat it with a smiling face. If it is sour, you will at once throw it out. Why do you throw it out? Because it does not taste good. It is not as per your liking. Similarly, if your behaviour in society is not good, the society will not accept it; nobody will respect you. If you cannot earn the respect and honour of society, who will respect you? Good reputation is very important for a human being. Therefore, in order to earn the respect of society, you should uphold human values. Love is God, God is Love. If you do not give value to love, it amounts to not giving value to god himself. When you value love, you value God.

02/05 :
Ages have gone by and the world is fast changing, but there is no transformation in the human heart. Some say that education is bringing about a change in human beings. True, but what type of change has it brought? It is a peculiar change that is leading to perversion of human mind instead of transforming their hearts. Human heart in its pristine state is highly sacred and human birth is difficult to attain. Out of all the living beings, the human birth is the rarest. Having attained such a precious life, are you making efforts to live like a true human being? Today you have become a bundle of desires, spending all your time and effort in fulfilling them. You are under the mistaken notion that fulfilment of desires will confer happiness on you. Realise that only annihilation of desires will lead you to ultimate bliss. True happiness lies in the state of desirelessness.

03/05 :
There are many things to be learnt from life. It is not bookish knowledge that is important; practical knowledge is more important. Mere platform speeches will serve no purpose; put knowledge into practice. Develop humanness by practicing human values. You may be proud of your wealth, education and position. But how long do they last? They are momentary. Therefore, students, you should conduct yourself with utmost care in this young age. Do not be proud of your wealth, progeny and youth; the tide of time may destroy them in a moment.

04/05:
Everyone must face the consequences of their misdeeds, one day or other, because every action has a reaction, resound and reflection. The awareness of this fact on the part of one and all will bring abundant peace and harmony. Human beings are endowed with endless strength. Your body is indeed a massive generator. Your face is like a television-set, with vivid expressions. But human beings have lost their value in the world today. It is human beings who lend value to a diamond. It is a human being who unearths a raw stone and turns it into a priceless diamond after processing and polishing it. Though people have been able to transform a cheap raw stone into an invaluable diamond, they themselves choose to have no intrinsic value in spite of contributing much to the value-addition of the diamond.

05/05:
Difficulties are there at every step in life. This is natural. Man keeps trying to overcome these difficulties and attain a higher position in life. Caught up in endless and meaningless anxieties, man constantly strives to attain things which are beyond his reach. He does not make effort to acquire things which he deserves. Rather, he craves for those things which he does not deserve. It is only the lamp of spirituality that can show the right royal path to man who is caught up in this endless struggle. For this, you have to develop faith in spirituality. None of your material possessions will go with you when you leave this body. It is only divinity that goes with you. In fact, divinity is in you, with you, around you, above you and below you. When the tank is full of water, you will hear the croaking noise of thousands of frogs in it. When the tank gets dried up, you will not find even one frog in it. Worldly friends are also like that today. When you have money in your pocket and when your father is in a good position, everyone will come to you, saying, hello, hello. When friends you have in the world today. This is not true friendship. God is your only true friend. he is the only one who will never forsake you.  

06/05 :
One who aspires to realise the principle of the self and teach the same to others should first of all develop purity of heart. One who lacks purity of heart is not eligible to realise the self and teach the same to others. Poisonous snakes and scorpions find their way into a room devoid of light. They do not enter a room which is well lit. Likewise, evil qualities like desire, anger, delusion, greed, pride and jealousy cannot enter the heart which shines with pure love. They only enter the heart which is devoid of sacred love. It is therefore necessary that man develops a pure and sacred heart which is full of love and compassion.

07/05 :
There is no love between the husband and the wife before they are married. There is no love between the mother and the child before the birth of the child. The son, though he loved his mother with all his heart, flings her body onto the burning pyre and consigns her to the flames without any mercy after death. How can such love be called true Love? All such relationships can at best be termed attachment and not Love. Attachments come in the middle and pass off in the middle. But Divine Love existed even before birth and will last after death. Attachments are like passing clouds that sail away quickly. True Love is uncontaminated, unsoiled, unadulterated, unpolluted, eternal, perennial, pure and unsullied. It is only Divine Love that is not tainted by selfishness and self-interest, and exists before birth and lasts after death. All other kinds of love are stained by selfishness.

08/05 :
Birds and animals lead their lives eating whatever nature provides to them, whereas man eats food which is cooked and processed. Birds eat raw paddy from the fields. Cattle go out and eat grass. But man separates husk from paddy, cooks rice, mixes vegetables with it and only then eats. He does not eat the raw food that is provided by Nature. He refines his food according to his taste and derives satisfaction. It is only man who refines food before eating it. Monkey is considered to be an ancestor of man. When you offer a banana to a monkey, it eats only after peeling it. See how intelligent monkeys are! But desires are common to both. Then, in what way is man different from a monkey? Man can prove himself to be different from a monkey only when he has kindness in his heart. That is why human beings are called mankind. You should make efforts to understand the inner meaning of the terms you use and follow the right path.

09/05 :
True learning is like an X-ray camera, which lays bare the innermost details with perfect fidelity. Our mind should be like an X-ray with Love as the film, such that it captures the entire personality of a being with accuracy. An X-ray machine without film is of no use, as nothing can be captured then. Love must be abiding and eternal. But today the love of people is transient and ephemeral, and may expire at any time. It is not at all worthy of being called Love. True Love endures trial and turbulence, loss, and pain, and transcends every trying circumstance. Never forget God under any circumstance, however difficult it might be. Our Love for God should survive every onslaught, and resist all the ravages of time and the vicissitudes of life. Our Love should not change and float with every passing wind. The lives of great devotees demonstrate to us how firm and strong our devotion should be.

10/05 :
You are endowed with many precious values. They are all within you. Your body is like an iron safe. Just as precious diamonds, rubies, emeralds, pearls are kept in an iron safe, likewise human values of compassion, love, tolerance, empathy, truth, etc., are all within you. in spite of having such precious treasure of values within you, you are searching for trinkets of trivial pleasures outside. The ocean teaches us a great lesson in this regard. It keeps most precious pearls in its bosom and throws all worthless shells on the shore. What you get on the seashore are only shells. If you want to get precious pearls, you have to dive deep into the sea. A devotee should pray to the Lord with such intense yearning. Only then can man’s life become meaningful. Otherwise, he will be human only in form, not in practice.

11/05 :
You spend a great deal of time to acquire some material object or other. How much time do you devote to thoughts of God? You shed tears profusely to experience a pleasure related to the senses. Do you shed a single tear for experiencing God? How then can you realise God? Today devotionhas become a mass-produced manufactured product. But are the devotees practicing what they profess? Without practice, can the fruits of devotion be realised? The Scriptures clearly describes the qualities of a true devotee. The primary virtue is absence of hatred towards any living thing: Cultivate Universal Love . Avoid causing harm to others. Do not speak ill of any one. Give up pride and egoism. Cultivate purity of thought, speech and action. Spirituality is not separate from other aspects of life. Spirituality permeates everything.

12/05 :
You cannot be called a human being just because you have a human form consisting of various limbs like hands, feet, nose, mouth, etc. virtues denote your true form. Love is the real virtue. Love is the true human value. Once you have love, there is no scope for any defect in you. It is love that unites the entire world. Where there is love, there is oneness and bliss. When you have both love and bliss, you will become the embodiment of peace. Today you complain, you have no peace. How can you get peace unless you have love in you? You should not get deluded by the external appearance. You should go by the virtues enshrined in your heart.

13/05 :
Only a harmonious blend of the secular and spiritual will lend beauty and radiance to life. We should not learn and earn merely to fill our bellies but also to fill our hearts with bliss. The food you eat will fill only your stomach and not the mind, but spiritual food will fill your mind and give you eternal bliss. Hence secular learning and living should be coupled with spirituality. Inculcation of morality is very important in life. Students lead chaste and disciplined lives as long as they live in the hostel, but they lead an altogether different life once they leave the hostel. Your lives should be marked by discipline and morality, whether you live in the hostel or outside. All of your lives should be lived in consonance with the command of your conscience. This rule must remain the same, whether you are being observed or not, whether someone is noticing you or not.

14/05:
The heart of a human being should be full of the noble qualities of tolerance, perseverance, sympathy and contentment. Only then can he easily understand the principle of the self and propagate the same. Love for God is the only requirement to attain purity of heart. There is nothing greater than this. The heart that is full of love for God is truly the heart of a human being.

15/05:
The cosmos is filled with love. Love is righteousness. Love is truth. The universe is based on love. Lost in the transient pleasures of worldly life, man is forgetting this supreme Love principle. What is the reason? Selfishness has grown and selflessness has declined. Narrow-mindedness is widespread. Broadness of heart is on the wane. Desires have increased. Ideals are vanishing. human life is dominated by selfishness and self-interest. A heart without love is a cemetery. Love
demonstrates the existence of the Divine. it is all-pervasive.It is the basis for human unity. Only when selfishness goes and faith in the Divine grows will human unity be achieved.

16/05 :
Righteousness (Dharma) is the basis for the entire Universe. A true human being is one who practices the principle of dharma. Burning is the dharma of fire. Many often use the word dharma without knowing its true nature and majesty. Coolness is the dharma of ice. Fire is no fire without burning. Ice is no ice without coolness. Similarly, the dharma of a human lies in performing actions with the body and following the commands of the heart. Every act performed with thought, word, and deed in harmony is a dharmic act! A dharmic life is a divine life! This dharma of the heart is supreme and verily the dharma of life. You must achieve unity in thought, word, and deed at all costs.

17/05:
Those who wish to develop purity of heart should be careful with regard to their food and habits. The human body digests food; the subtle part of it becomes bones, muscles and blood and the subtlest part of food becomes the mind. Therefore, food is responsible for the good and bad nature of the mind. As is the food, so is the mind. Hence, it is necessary to eat pure, sacred, and wholesome food in moderation. Happiness lies in proper food and habits. Happiness cannot be found in worldly comforts and sumptuous food. It can be found only in natural food created by God. Not only food but also drinking water should be pure. The gross part of water that we drink is excreted as urine and the subtle part of it becomes life principle. For a human being, mind and life principle are most important. Moreover, they are interdependent. People are deluded to think that the power of mind can be developed by following the worldly path. They cannot achieve it unless they follow the inward path.

18/05 :
We talk a lot about discipline. Simply to keep on talking about discipline and not have the strength and faith to accept discipline is not going to do any good. Today, unfortunately, even persons who claim to be, and boast of being highly educated, appear as weaklings in practical life. Such people do not understand the value of true education. You must be prepared to put into practice one out of the ten things that you preach, in preference to just saying ten good things. To discipline and duty we should also add devotion. It is only when these three D’s—Discipline, Devotion, and Duty—are together and firmly implanted in your heart, that your heart will be able to develop into a sacred one.

19/05:
In the waking state, the mind of man influences him. So long as you have a mind, you see the world around you. And so long as you see the world, you cannot escape from the experience of happiness and sorrow. What really is responsible for happiness and sorrow? It is the mind. In the deep sleep state, there is no mind, and consequently, there is neither the world nor the experience of happiness and sorrow. So far as there is the mind, there is the world; so far as there is the world, there is happiness and sorrow. There is neither happiness nor sorrow when you transcend the mind. How can you transcend the mind? You can transcend the mind by developing love for God. Just as sugar permeates every drop of the syrup, love permeates the entire world. World devoid of love and bliss cannot exist. Love is all-pervasive, bliss is all-pervasive. Human being, nay, any living being has no existence without love.

20/05 :
Without the control of your senses, your spiritual practice will be ineffective; it is like keeping water in a leaky pot! When the tongue craves for some delicacy, assert that you will not cater to its whims. If you persist in giving yourself simple food that is not savoury or hot, but amply sustaining, the tongue may squirm for a few days, but it will soon welcome it. That is the way to subdue it and overcome the evil consequences of its being your master. Since the tongue is equally insistent on scandal and lascivious talk, you have to curb that tendency also. Talk little, talk sweetly, talk only when there is pressing need. Also, talk only to those to whom you must, and do not shout or raise the voice in anger or excitement. Such control will improve health and mental peace. It will lead to better public relations and less in contacts and conflicts with others.

21/05 :
There is lack of peace and security in the world as the modern system of education does not develop faith in God in students. Once a person took his son to a school for admission. He met the headmaster and said, “Sir, my son is very intelligent but he has two weaknesses.” when the headmaster asked him to tell the weaknesses, the father replied, “He does not know what is good for him nor does he listen to others.” Similar is the state of an educated person today. He is filled with ego, thinking he knows everything. But what does he know? He is a fool who does not know himself. Then what can he know about the world?

22/05 :
A person’s life depends upon three essential things - thoughts, words and deeds. When desires arise, one immediately takes it to their mind. For any thought, mind is the basis. The thought that comes to your mind will be exposed to the world as a word from your mouth, and once you utter those words, then, to put it into practice, you take action. When you are able to apply these three—thought, word, and action along the right path, you earn merit; but if you apply them along the wrong path, you earn sin. Thus for good and bad, you need thoughts, words, and deeds. Only when there is harmony between thoughts, words, and actions; you will be able to recognise your own true nature. To keep them pure and in harmony, you must undertake some kind of spiritual practice. This is of utmost need today.

24/05 :
Then what is the speciality of human birth? Of all living beings, human birth is the rarest. What is it that makes human birth rare and unique? Animals  also eat  food like you and develop relations with their kith and kin like you. They also have desires like you. If you also lead a life of animals and beasts, what for is all your education? What is the secular knowledge, spiritual knowledge and constant integrated awareness that you have acquired by your studies? Is all your education only meant to fill your belly? This is not the sign of humanness; this is not the goal of human life. Man should realise his true self and the source from which he has come.

25/05:
Today we see human forms, but the human nature and human qualities are dormant in this form. Most people are behaving very much like an animal. The qualities which are precious and which characterise the human being are morality, adherence to truth, dharma, and the like. If these are not evident, then the human nature does not shine at all. We should promote human qualities. We should not cultivate simply the human form and appearance. You not enshrining sacred Divinity in your heart and thereby becoming distant from it, and also you letting your body go where it likes, are not human qualities at all. Enshrine Divinity in your heart and make it sacred. Then you can use the human form to its fullest potential.

26/05:
“Man in the world is bound by action”. Even birds and animals also perform actions. So, man should perform actions which are associated with righteousness. All the Karma (action) that man performs should be associated with dharma. Man should use his intelligence and power of discrimination and enter the field of action wholeheartedly. Before performing any task, he should enquire whether that particular action is befitting for a human being or an animal. Infinite and immeasurable divinity is immanent in man. Having such sacred and divine human birth, it is a shame to lead a life of birds and animals.

27/05 :
Anything can be achieved by constant practice. Walking, reading, talking, eating, writing, all require practice. how much you need to practise if you want to ride a motorcycle! You may fall any number of times, but do you give up practising? Unfortunately, you give up your resolve at your first failure on the path of spirituality. in all other endeavours, in spite of all obstacles, you do not leave your effort. In fact, you should show the same resolve and much more on the path of spirituality. Why? Because spirituality leads you to the goal of your life. That is the purpose of human birth.

28/05 :
You should never undertake to discuss the good and bad in others. If you entertain bad qualities in your mind, it will lead you to a bad path and you will surely fall. People who entertain bad ideas will certainly be destroyed in course of time despite any amount of wealth or knowledge that they may possess. An individual, who endeavours to keep away the bad in oneself and attempts to promote the good, will make real progress. If you use a thousand eyes for locating the faults in others and spend all your time in this process, your heart will get impure and will develop bad ideas. Our heart is like a camera lens. The object on which we concentrate our attention gets imprinted on the mind. Youth and elders alike should try to see that qualities like jealousy, hatred and lack of forbearance never enters their minds.

29/05:
Every mother loves her child very dearly. When the child is sick and suffering, the mother undergoes ten times more suffering. Just because the mother loves her son so dearly, will she be able to take upon herself his suffering? It is totally impossible. In the same manner, will the hunger of the child be satiated when the mother eats? Everyone earns his own merits and sins. It is not possible for a mother to share the merits and sins of her son and vice-versa. You can share your property with others, but you cannot share divine grace with them. What you do is yours and what they do is theirs. But you should always pray for the welfare of all.

30/05 :
Human birth becomes worthwhile only when you attain the goal of life. Having attained human birth, you should strive for its fulfilment and win the appreciation of all. You feel dejected when you face failures and feel elated when you meet with success. Where is the need to become dejected in times of difficulties and elated in times of happiness? Happiness has no value if there are no difficulties. People sow bitter seeds and expect sweet fruits later. As a result, when they have to eat the bitter fruits. This is against the laws of nature. as is the seed, so is the fruit. if you want to enjoy sweet fruits, you should sow good seeds. People seek happiness in worldly life. Initially, it may look very pleasant, but the happiness diminishes with the passage of time. When a newly-married couple goes for a stroll in a public park and the husband notices a thorn in front of them, he at once pulls his wife aside saying, “Come back, there is a thorn”? At that time, he considers wife is life. after six months, if the same situation arises, the husband merely cautions his wife, “Be careful, there is a thorn”. After another six months, if the same situation were to arise, he would shout at her, “Can’t you see, there is a thorn”? Worldly love goes on decreasing in this manner day by day. It is only divine love that goes on increasing continuously.

31/05:
On a platform we parrot words like Truth, Love and Nonviolence, but in our daily life we do not have faith in Truth, we do not practice Non-violence, and we don’t follow the path of Discrimination. Young people today must learn to put these values into practice sincerely. Your lives depend upon three things — your words, thoughts, and deeds. Whatever desires you get, you will exhibit them and take them to your mind. For getting a thought, mind is the basis. The thought that comes to your mind will be exposed to the world as words through your mouth. Once you utter words from your mouth and expose the thought that has come to your mind, now to put that into practice, you take action. It is only when there is a harmony between your thoughts, words and action that you will be able to recognise your own true nature.
