Good morning, the below article something to think about  Hope you have a great week ahead.
Really Worth reading.........

Think about it...
It's another morning......... Again I have to go to the office.

Ohh!! this is me... I shouted, having a glance at my photo? in today's news paper.
But what the HELL it is doing in the death column??
Strange...

One second.......Let me think, last night when I was going to bed I had a severe pain in my chest, but I don't remember anything after that, I think I had a sound sleep.

It's morning now, ohh....... It's already 10:00 AM, where is my coffee?

I will be late for office and my boss will get a chance to irritate me..

Where is everyone...??? I screamed.

"I think there is a crowd outside my room, let me check." I said to myself.

So many people..... Not all of them crying......

But why some of them are crying....

WHAT IS THIS??? I am lying there on the floor...

"I AM HERE" ....... I shouted!!! No one is listening.

"LOOK I AM NOT DEAD" .... I screamed once again!! No one is interested in me.

They all were looking at me on the bed.

I went back to my bed room. "Am I dead??" I asked myself...

Where is my wife, my children, my Mom, my Dad, my friends?

I found them in the next room, all of them were crying...still trying to console each other.

My wife was crying... she was really looking sad.

My little kid was not sure what happened, but he was crying just because his Mom was sad..

How can I go without saying to my kid that I really love him,

I really do care for him. ??

How can I go without saying to my wife that she is really the most beautiful and most caring wife in this world..??

How can I go without saying to my parents that I'm what I am ... just because of you??

How can I go without telling my friends that without them perhaps I would have done most of the wrong things in my life... thanks for being there always when I need them...and sorry for not being there when they really need me..

I can see a person standing in the corner and trying to hide his tears....

Oh.... he was once my best friend, but a small misunderstanding made us part, and we both have a strong enough ego to keep us disconnected.

I went there..... And offered him my hand, "Dear friend.... I just want to say sorry for everything, we are still best friends, please forgive me."

No response from other side, what the hell?? He is still preserving his ego, I am saying sorry... even then!!!

I really don't care for such people.

But one second...... It seems he is not able to see me!!!! He did not see my extended hand.

My goodness...... AM I REALLY DEAD???

I just sat down near ME; I was also feeling like crying...

"OH ALMIGHTY!!!! PLEASE JUST GIVE ME FEW MORE DAYS..."

I just wasn't to make my wife, my parents; my friends realize that how much I love them.....

My wife entered the room, she looks beautiful.

"YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL" I shouted.

She didn't hear my words, in fact she never heard these words because I never said this to her.

"GOD!!!!" I screamed... a little more timeplzzzzz...

I cried...

One more chance please... to hug my child, to make my mom smile just once, to feel my dad proud of me at least for a moment, to say sorry to my friends for everything I have not given to them, and thanks for still being in my life....

Then I looked up and cried!!

I shouted.......

"GOD!!!! ONE MORE CHANCE PLEASE!!!!"

"You shouted in your sleep," said my wife as she gently woke me up. "Did you have a nightmare?"

I was sleeping....

Ohh that was just a dream....

My wife was there... she can hear me... This is the happiest moment of my life...

I hugged her and whispered....

"YOU ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND CARING WIFE IN THIS UNIVERSE..... I REALLY LOVE YOU, DEAR"

I can't understand the reason of the smile on her face with some tears in her eyes, still I'm happy....

"THANK YOU GOD FOR THIS SECOND CHANCE."

SO, now it's not late... Forget the egos, the Past... and express love to others.......

Be friendly...

Keep smiling...... forever....It is another chance For you...

Please let us do things more sincerely...

When you fall, don't see the place where you fell, instead see the place from where you slipped. Life is about correcting mistakes."

A rich man went to the hermitage of a great sage. He said to the sage, “Oh revered one! Give me the knowledge of the Para-Brahma, I have very limited time and I have snatched these few days out of my busy schedule with great difficulty. Please tell me about the Almighty so that I can have the understanding of the Eternal Bhagwan. The sage smiled kindly and said, “Alright, come tomorrow.”

The man came early next day. He waited there expectantly all day. Every time the Sage would look his way, his heart would jump for he thought that the time had come that the sage would talk to him and disclose the eternal secret of God to him. The day drew to an end. No luck. The sage departed to his resting area saying, “Come tomorrow.”

The man came the next day looking his best in a new silken kurta and dhoti, his hair combed neatly, his face beaming expectantly. This day too passed.

The following day also the man waited and waited and waited. On the fifth day the man mustered up some courage and went up to the sage. “Oh revered one,” he said, “I have been waiting all these days for you to talk to me and disclose the truth about God to me. But you have not so much as looked my way. Now I have to go back to the city to attend to my work. Please come to my house sometime and give me some time to talk with you alone.”

The sage smiled and said, “Alright, I plan to visit your city anytime after the tenth of this month. I shall visit you while I am there.” The man went back to work but he was counting the days. On the tenth of the month he got his house cleaned till it shone. He got special food prepared in the hope that the sage would drop by. That day too went by. There was no sign of the sage. Another five days passed in waiting and preparing for the sage to come. On the sixth day the sage knocked at the door. The man was overjoyed to see the sage. He welcomed him and offered him food. The sage extended his kamandalu and said, “Just put it into this.” The man was about to pour kheer into the kamandalu when he noticed that there was some cow-dung in the kamandalu. He said, “Oh venerable one! Give the kamandalu to me. Let me wash it. It is not clean. How can I pour kheer into this soiled utensil?”

The sage looked at him straight in the eyes and said, “Son, I too could not have poured knowledge into the dirty vessel of your heart, I had to wait for you to clean it with yearning for the Lord. Knowledge of God cannot be given to one whose mind is cluttered with worldly thoughts. I had to make you go through this period, to cleanse your heart so that it may become worthy of being the residence of the Lord. Come, you are now ready for knowledge.”

Knowledge of God cannot be acquired in a hurry. It is something that we learn and carry with us over many births. It may not be imminent but the knowledge is there within us; in our sub-conscious mind.  When we yearn for God, the layers of ignorance get removed from the knowledge that lies within us. No Guru tells us anything new.
The Guru just helps us to unwrap and discover what is already there within us.
We just have to learn to concentrate on the inner self and we can find God!

Many years ago, a man was travelling by train. He was engrossed in prayer and moved the beads of his rosary meticulously as he silently chanted the name of God in his heart. A young university student seated beside him watched him intently. The over enthusiastic student said, “You do not seem to be uneducated, Sir. Yet you while your time away in prayer! It is surely a waste of time, isn’t it?” The man said, “Is it? I didn’t know that! How do you suggest I pass my time, young man?”

The youngster being a student of science said, “Science is the order of the day. Don’t waste your time in silly things. Take heed to my word. Toss this rosary out of the window right away and take a look into what science has to offer. It shall surely bowl you over.”

The man had tears in his eyes and said simply, “What is this science? I’m afraid, I do not understand. Would you explain it to me?”

The student realized he had hurt the man and thought he should make up for it. He said, “Let me jot down your address. I shall send you some very interesting reading material.”

The man dug into the pocket of his coat and drew out a card. He said, “You can have my business card.” It read: “Louis Pasteur, Director of the Institute of Scientific Research, Paris.”

Many of us today, feel that it is futile to pray. Many think of it as a waste of time. We don’t realize that god has the answers to all those questions to which man does not have answers.

The astonishing progress of science and technology has not brought with it corresponding powers of discrimination and wisdom. Man must realize that the sense organs, through which he explores the external and discovers the powers latent in Nature and the physical universe, function because of the Divinity which is immanent in them. Without the power of the Divine, the eyes cannot see or the ears hear or the mind thinks!

There was a very pious and rich man who spent a lot of time in praying and doing good deeds. He would donate money to charitable organizations and to orphanages. He led a simple and organized life that focused majorly on God. One day he was travelling to another town by car. It was late in the night and the driver was driving very fast. The highway was quite deserted and as the car sped forward on its route. The owner dozed off.

Perhaps the driver was drowsy or destiny was to play its role, the car had a head-on collision with a speeding truck. The driver and the master both died on the spot.

Both of them were brought before God. God smiled kindly at the driver but did not even glance towards the master. God said to his attendant, “Take them both to heaven.”

The master was extremely upset and resisted the guiding hand of the attendant saying, “God, please listen to me. I have never done anything bad in my life. I spent hours and hours in meditation. Why did you not even look my way? My driver spent all his time in work. He never took out time to go to the temple or to pray. He didn’t even spare a penny for a beggar. And yet, you order both of us to Heaven together!”

God replied, “My child, I am not oblivious of all the good deeds you have performed while you were alive. That is why I am sending you to Heaven.” The man said, “But Lord, my driver What did he do to accord such a VIP treatment and such a warm welcome?”

Then God smiled and said, “You my son, always beheld me in awe. You prayed to me as if I were just a guardian and a trouble shooter. You never loved me, you never felt me in your heart. Your driver felt that I was always with him, through happy times as well as sad. He shared his best and worst moments with me. He loved me, so I have to love him in return! He treated me like a friend so I have to treat him like one too!”

Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of Passage?

His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone.  He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it.  He cannot cry out for help to anyone.
Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.

He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own.

The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe even some human might do him
harm. The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man!

Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold.
It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him.
He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.

We, too, are never alone.
Even when we don't know it, God is watching over us, sitting on the stump beside us.
When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him.

If you liked this story, pass it on.
If not, you took off your blindfold before dawn.

Moral of the story:
Just because you can't see God,
Doesn't mean He is not there.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Once A Professor asked his students, 'Why do we shout in anger?
Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?'

The students thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.'

'But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the Professor.
'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'

The students gave some other answers but none satisfied the Professor.

Finally he explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot.
To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other.

The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.'
Then the Professor asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love?
They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why?
Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small...'

The Professor continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens?
They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love.

Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'

MORAL:

When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other more,
Else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.

From “Sunrays for Thursday” by Prya et Sanjay Tandon

An old man was visiting a city for the first time in his life. He had grown up in a remote mountain village, worked hard raising his children, and was then enjoying his first visit to his children's modern homes.

While being shown around the city, the old man heard a sound that stung his ears. He had never heard such an awful noise in his quiet mountain village. Following the grating sound back to its source, he came to a room in the back of a house where a small boy was practising on a violin.

'Screech! Screech!' came the discordant notes form the groaning violin. When he was told that it was called a 'violin', he decided he never wanted to hear such a horrible thing again.

The next day, in a different part of the city, the old man heard a beautiful sound, which seemed to caress his aged ears. He had never heard such an enchanting melody in his mountain valley. Following the delightful sound back to its source, he came to a room in the front of a house where an old lady, a maestro, was performing a sonata on a violin.

At once, the old man realised his mistake. The terrible sound that he had heard the previous day was not the fault of the violin, nor even the boy. It was just that the young man had yet to learn his instrument well.

With a wisdom reserved for the simple folk, the old man thought it was the same with religion. When we come across a religious enthusiast causing such strife with his beliefs, it is incorrect to blame the religion.

It is just that the novice has yet to learn his religion well. When we come across a saint, a maestro of her religion, it is such a sweet encounter that it inspires us for many years, whatever their beliefs.

But that was not the end of the story.....

The third day, in a different part of the city, the old man heard another sound that surpassed in its beauty and purity even that of the maestro on her violin. What do you think that sound was?

It was a sound more beautiful than the cascade of the mountain stream in spring, than the autumn wind through the forest groves, or than the mountain birds singing after a heavy rain. It was even more beautiful than the silence in the mountain hollows on a still winter's night. What was that sound that moved the old man's heart more powerfully than anything before?
It was a large orchestra playing a symphony.

The reason it was, for the old man, the most beautiful sound in the world is that firstly, every member of that orchestra was a maestro of their own instrument; and secondly, they had further learned how to play together in harmony.

'May it be the same with religion,' the old man thought. 'Let each one of us learn through the lessons of life the soft heart of our beliefs. Let us each be a maestro of the love within our religion. Then, having learned our religion well, let us go further and learn how to play, like members of an orchestra, with other religions in harmony together!'

That would be the most beautiful melody!

Thought for the day

ycoeur17.gif
